It took me way to long to sign the guest book, but even a year later, I often have moments when I wish I was still at Casa Cangrejal! If you go to Honduras, don't miss this place! A gorgeous and tranquil atmosphere, we signed up for one night and ended up staying three because we never wanted to leave! Karen is the most generous and fun host you can ask for, and if I am ever able to get back, I wouldn't miss staying at this place again! Thanks for a great time (last March1!!) and I hope you guys are doing well!

Staying at Casa Cangrejal was an excellent choice filled with friendly people, the hostess Karen & Alex Brooks along with their niece and nephew Yolanda and Gregory were spectacular always there to lend a hand the food is delicious and if your ever in Honduras trust me you don't want to leave without staying at Casa Cangrejal. We did the Rafting at Omega Tours which was fabulous and birdwatching was right outside our doors.

This is truly relaxing place, sun or rain you are going to experience a truly calming atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious. Dinner Done by Omega Restaurant was also a delight. A nice treat, from the everyday running that our lives can bring. Karen's egg's benedicts were a tongue pleaser and definitely so good for you, great juice, and coffee. I would gladly recommend to couples, friends or even mother and daughter's get away retreat. Never knew Ceiba had such a jungle jewl. Karen has done a great thing, in this part of the country. Car arrangement was reliable. Her staff was also ready with great customer service. Needless to say, I was truly satisfied. My only regret "not staying longer.

Casa Cangrejal was quite a unique experience, from the river to the nature that sorrounds it. Not to mention the delicious palate pleasers that Karen fixes up for breakfast!! I recommend the new canadian french toast. It was awesome!!!!

I had so much fun staying here. It was only my second trip out of Canada and Karen made me feel so comfortable. I loved the stone shower in my room, and the house was very beautiful but cozy - I felt very much at home.

What a beautiful place!! The website pictures don't do it justice. After her years in Honduras, Karen has finally created a paradise in the jungle and is willing to share it with us! She is a great cook and fantastic host - I will definitely return!

Man, did we have a blast at Casa Cangrejal! Karen & Alex were wonderful hosts; the food was awesome; and, the rain forest experience was spectacular. While with Karen & Alex, we rafted the Rio Cangrejal (gets your adrenaline pumping), did the zip lines (more adrenaline), rode with Alex to higher elevations and to see local towns (a wonderful cultural experience), ate well at Richard's and Omega Lodge, and slept gloriously! The only bad thing is that we had to return to the snow and cold in Wisconsin! ;)

We were lucky enough to discover this amazing bed and breakfast tucked away in a lush and beautiful jungle setting and stayed December 27th after spending an incredible afternoon white water rafting down the Cangrejal River with Omega tours. My partner made the arrangements as a surprise and with the help of Karen it was unforgettable. The building she has created is wonderful, the food excellent and Karen and Alex go to great lengths to make you feel comfortable and at home in this one of a kind bed and breakfast. If you are looking for the perfect romantic setting to propose, sitting by candlelight next to a cascading mountain spring surrounded by beautiful plants and wildlife, this is the place!!

Casa Cangrejal was an absolutely fantastic place to start our honeymoon. The stone design keeps the rooms cool with fresh shower water. Just outside your door is a lush forest with natural swimming holes. Omega Tours is just up the street with good food and many fun adventure options. There are also some nice hiking trails around the property with some neat birding possibilities.

Karen and her husband and staff treated us like royalty for our entire stay with an amazing breakfast to start each day (Karen is an amazing cook). She arranged a wonderful special candlelight dinner for us.

There are not many things we have done in this world that we would recommend more. Simply amazing!

Casa Cangrejal is one of the best places we have ever stayed. It is comfortable, beautifully designed, really inspiring architecturally, and relaxing as can be. Karen is a really fun, easy going and exceptional hostess. Her cooking is amazing and the environs could not be more lush and full of Honduran flora and fauna.

If you find yourself looking for an amazing stay over in La Ceiba area of Honduras, do not deny yourself this trip up the mountain to this amazing B and B. You will be glad you chose this place. (Plus it is really close to Udo and Sylvia's hang out with restaurant and WWRafting and Horseback riding along the beach - Omega Tours - up the road a stretch.) What a fun crowd!
